wine and gluten free pie at carrie's.
side bar for pool.
beauty bar for dancing.
not a bad day at all.

it was the early mid 80's and i was in my late mid 20's.

well i'm back in austin after an extended weekend of birthday celebrations in chicago for steven's 21st!
dancing on platforms, singing drag queens and martinis with peppermint patties in them, laughing my ass off with my boys, getting hit in the face with a snowball!
so much fun!

last night's dream

i have to write this down because it was the strangest, most realistic dream i've had in a while.

i have this polaroid camera and i'm taking pictures of a small girl playing in a doll house.
suddenly, the cameras shutter closes and locks up. but it continues to take a photo.
it spits out the polaroid, and it's not a picture of the little girl, it's a moving photo of one of my memories.
then i hear a muffled voice explain what has happened.
the camera's shutter has reversed its view point and captured my memories in my pineal gland in my brain through my retina.
the polaroid shows me and my family at my grandfathers old lake house having thanksgiving dinner.
my dead uncle is there and in one scene i'm screaming at my brother who was is close to the water.
in the dream i felt like it was an omen of some sorts. it was kind of creepy but happy at the same time.
i keep the picture to show people because i know that no one will believe me.
i bring it into the kitchen of this house i don't know to show my mother.
i put it down next to the sink where it gets wet and is destroyed.
so no one will ever see it.

then i wake up.

so i go out to my car this morning to get a pair of shoes that i left in there
and i find that someone broke into it last night!
glass from the driver side window everywhere!
they didn't even take anything! not that there was much worth stealing anyway!
just some school books and papers, clothes and shoes.
they didn't even try to steal the radio! i'm glad for that.
i just can't believe this happened!
why?!
so now i have to waste my money on a new window!
as if i already don't have enough to worry about financially!
this shit sucks.

ggggrrrrrrr!
i wish i could beat the face in of the person who did this!

never leave a kiwi in the fruit bowl and then forget about it for 3 weeks.
the fruit flies are the most disgusting thing i've ever seen.
and as a side note, i don't think jumping around the kitchen and
spraying them with febreeze air freshener is working.

i'm up unusually early for work this morning.

and the news has just reported that americans
are burning 1 billion more gallons of gasoline
a year because we are all obese!
apparently the extra weight is causing people's
cars to work harder thus needing to fill up
more often. hmm. something to think about.

however, i think i need not worry, as i have
just realized that i've lost 10 pounds due to
my new eating habits! yay! i had to say it.

also, please god let me move past this point of
exhaustion i am currently experiencing so
that i don't pass out at work today.
